The Ritz Hotel Madrid

After travelling around Europe, the young Spanish King Alfonzo XIII decided that Madrid needed a hotel to rival the Ritz Hotel in Paris. He achieved his aim with the construction of The Ritz Hotel Madrid which occupies a superb location, close to three most important art galleries, the Prado, the Thyssen Bornemisza and the Centro de Arte Moderno Reina Sofia which are all right on the doorstep.  Guests at the hotel include David Beckham, Tony Blair and Sting.

The aim of the Hotel is to retain a bit of the early 20th century Madrid in a modern city. The hotel’s old world grandeur and elegance offers a fabulous restaurant with a strong focus on local spanish cuisine.  It has a classic Mediterranean feel right in the middle of this thriving city.

For that extra special touch, The Hotel Ritz also provides a limousine service on request from the airport which costs £88.00 (+ Tax) including 60 minutes’ waiting.  The service to the airport costs £68.00 (+Tax).
