Visiting Las Vegas? Here are the top-ten best pools in Las Vegas - take your pick!

The best pool has to be at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This 3,300 room resort is a tropical pleasure palace featuring 62 acres of vibrant green foliage and relaxing waterfalls. Amidst the mythical architecture, the resort offers four pools, one of which is reserved for VIP guests.  There is also an oval shaped river that takes you lazily around a lush tropical island with an abundance of palms and waterfalls.  The third pool, and probably the best of the four, is simply known as ‘The Beach’.  Here, 1700 tonnes of Californian sand has been imported especially to make this beach area, with several lagoons from where you can get away from it all!.The fourth, and main pool offers the only wave pool in Vegas.  With waves up to six feet high, it is particularly popular with body surfers.

Second best is the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.  Opened in 1995, the Hotel offers 668 rooms and suites.  Although smaller than some of its neighbouring Hotels, size doesn’t matter here as everyday they host the biggest pool party in Las Vegas.  Starting at 10.00am and ending at midnight, this is the home of the perfect bodies and gorgeous people! Also popular with movie-stars and super-models, you can admire the view from the lazy river that floats around the whole complex.  With piped underwater music, a sandy-bottomed pool and a casino in the pool, this is an excellent choice of venue for a fun time.  For those requiring more privacy, there are 37 private Tahitian style cabanas that can be rented for that extra special celebration.

The Mirage has to be third choice.  Opened in 1989 The Mirage is located at the north end of the strip.  This Hotel resort and Casino offers a tropical island theme with 3000 rooms and suites available. The Resort has a spectacular 50 foot active volcano, a 2.5 million gallon dolphin habitat and 40 white tigers!  Its two pools are set within the five acre resort, with 1000 lounge chairs and three different slides you are sure to have a time to remember amongst the relaxing lagoons and spectacular scenery.

Fourth choice would be the pools at Ceasar’s Palace.  Located in a prime position on the Strip, this Roman themed resort has 3000 rooms and a fantastic Garden of the God Pool complex set amongst five acres of lush gardens, fountains and pools.  There are three pools at Ceasar’s Palace - the Palace Pool holds half a million gallons of water and has a gold statue of Ceasar overlooking the pool.  Neptune’s pool and Venus Pool are equally as perfect - from all three you can be fed frozen grapes by one of the Grape Goddess’s alongside the pool!  Ceasar’s Palace also offers the only topless bathing in Las Vegas.

Try the Flamingo as a fifth choice! Bugsy Siegel’s desert dream, The Flamingo, has anchored the Las Vegas Strip since they opened, first rolling the dice in 1946. In the 1950’s and 1960’s this was ‘the place’ to gamble.  Although the original building has long gone, the new 3600 room building that stands in its place is even better!  This is more than a casino.  It is one of the classiest hotels in Las Vegas. The pool is designed after the famous Hilton Hawaiin village, and the design of this 15 acre, 500,000 gallon flight of fantasy is no accident. The lush hotel pool make this resort an entertainment oasis.

Sixth place would have to go to the MGM Grand. Hosting some of vegas’s biggest concerts and stage-shows this City of Entertainment is set in over 14 acres.  There are 5000 guest rooms and 22 restauants set in spacious surroundings. The Grand Pool Complex is an excellent swimming and sunbathing experience where you have your choice from five swimming pools and three relaxing whirlpools.

Next would have to be the Bellagio where you can experience the best water feature in the world - Bellagio’s world-famous fountains are not to be missed. The Bellagio’s pool areas, enhanced by hand-carved Italian fountains, capture the romance of the Old World in the classical setting of a Mediterranean Villa. Here you can relax in one of the pools, spas, cafes or private cabanas.

Why not try the Venetian? Here you can experience the romance of Italy in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Or the Luxor which offers four luxurious pools and several relaxing whirlpools.

And last but by no means least -  the Palms Casino Resort. The Palms offers two acres of swimming pools and an attractive feature -the The Glass Bar, which is located under an elevated, glass-bottomed deck pool and The Waterfall Bar is hidden behind a cascading, 12 foot waterfall.
