Don’t let sea-sickness spoil your cruise

Modern ships are fitted with efficient stabilisers that mitigate the effect of ship movement.  If you are worried about sea-sickness, opt for a bigger vessel which are less rocky, and choose a cabin mid-ships rather than the stem or stern. It also helps to avoid cruises with several straight days at sea and remember to pack pill and pressure point wristbands.  Cruising through the Bay of Biscay from Southampton can be a bit choppy and if this worries you choose a cruise that leaves from a destination such as Palma where you are eased rather more gently into calmer waters!

Be reassured, the ship’s medical team will be on hand but generally if you do get symptoms, they general ease as the cruise progresses.
