Pop your cork in Bordeaux!

Always associated with the superb quality of its wines by wine lovers from around the world, last year’s bumper grape harvest has been hailed as the finest the region has ever produced.  That’s why now is a good time to pay a visit to this popular wine region and sample the large range - from everyday wine to those appealing to the most expensive tastes! The conditions that produced last years crop are destined to be of supreme, bordering on perfect quality when their corks are popped early in 2007.  Now is a good time to be the owner of a vineyard!

A recent tasting of an ‘en primeur’ (meaning ’still in the barrell’) 2005 Chateau Couronneau resulted in a prize-winning 95%!  If you’re planning a visit here next Spring, be sure to leave enough space in the boot for what promises to be an excellent sample of this regional produce.  This special wine is not to be missed.

With many low-cost airfares available, and quality accommodation in this beautiful capital of the Aquitaine region in plentiful supply - don’t miss out - definately something to blog about!!
